That's what the new FFF Blogs are for - so you can record your fishing trips, including the tide, temperature and moon phase - the blogs will make a bl..dy good pool of information if people get stuck into them.
I agree with you Dick As I posted earlier in this topic I found full moon on fresh to be best. Never did I keep account of it I just knew the fishing was better on full moon That's for me though.
Awesome info Dick And quite a few fishing trips there in a short period of time Where do you fish for that many trips, is it from Ivanhoe crossing up to the diversion dam?? Lake Kununurra it's self or all over?? If you don't mind me asking

Every spot works differnetly and I dont think you can put one moon phase down as the best. Fish have to be somewhere and like all creatures have to eat at sometimes. As tides are all tied into moon phase if you work one out the other should all fall into place (Moon and tide). The best times all compair to conditions and water temp, water temperature stability, Water clarity, Water movement, bait breeding cycles, water levels, oceanic currents, and most importantly here in the NT the wet season and amount of time fresh water spends on the floodplains. This fresh water has a huge part even in bluewater fishing as it breeds more bait attracting more predators. So much to take in and learn and I doubt any of us will ever master it all. If you do give up fishing because it wont be fun any more. The not knowing is the best part.

remember that one turtle. your fishing just got 20% better. Now add to it. You know the fish are there. you know they were surface feeding. do they completly disapeare when the moon got up or do they change feeding habbits. Think of lure selection.

Haha yep, by that stage tho I was way too tired/drunk, and my swag looked so bl..dy inviting.. About 5am in the morning starting fishing again, they were back on the surface feeding, even tho the moon was still up. My uncle even floated a bomber lure 15m or so out the back just in the current while he made a coffee and it went off, landed a 75cm barra. Not even 2 mins in the water again same thing, happened 4/5 times in 20 minutes or so. Its certainly alot to learn tho when you start thinking about all the different variables that line up, I guess once you start documenting them you'll see patterns emerge, which will ultimately make you a better fisherman by predicting where/when the fish are gonna be on from past experiences.
Note to self - Start a fishing diary..
