lol got the same email today... my resident fish guru advises its a Nile Perch and they apparently really do get that large, though cant tell if that ones been photoshopped or not...
its worth a look at the beer bottle in the fellas hand, and the pair of arms helping in the first pic look more african than indigenous to me... but, never let the truth get in the way of a good yarn!

Same here, I got this emailed to me all day Thurs/Frid.
The photo's appear to be fair dinkum, it's definitely a Nile Perch, the size of the scales give it away. If it were a barra the scales of a fish that size would be about the same diameter of a small saucer plate.
