Re: How not to snatch a vehicle
I have had a good laugh at the comments on this topic.
I personally enjoy watching the show. Provides a good laugh and maybe shows some places that are quite accessible for us here in the top end.
This is not the first season of the show at all in fact I think they are upto season 5 or 6 now.
This saturday will be the episode with that rollover on 7two.
Love it or hate it there arent many better shows going at the moment.

What ever happened to Roddo ? I don't mind the show either just a couple of lads giving it a go. For those who don't like any of the fishing/ adventure programs you will be happy to know home and away should be back on soon.

Re: How not to snatch a vehicle
Saw that whole episode yesterday, enjoyed it, it was the best thing on TV apart from the 20/20.
I also think that they didnt do too bad a job of the recovery, considering the tide was pushing in hard, talk about under pressure!
As I said before, its easy to critisise from the couch, they didnt have to air the program, they could have just shown a couple blokes catching a few fish, and all the good stuff, but I give em credit for airing a program that shows things do go wrong.
Well done guys!

Least he knew it and admitted it.

Pressure was on, quite a few dollars tied up in those vehicles and gear.

Great episode! Those boys certainly worked hard to get themselves out of that sticky situation. A lot of pressure on them when that tide had turned.

Re: How not to snatch a vehicle
I remember the 1st time i saw it, i noticed several tracks across the creek and knew that they had several camera takes to get better action. well they got it all right.
at least the boys admitted they did this not like other shows
Dont get me wrong, every tv show does many retakes of the action.
I remember Brocky on the 4wd training track at oran park. He did over 10 retakes of him cresting a hill til he got it right for the promo.
These fellas really flog their vehicles to death. Thats the decision they have made and can obviously afford to replace them more often than the general bloke in the street.
Good on em, im sure everyone realises that thats not the way to flog a 4wd.
The show is about adventure and they sure do deliver on that front.

Part two shows how it all ends up, I wont give it away but i'm glad someone is prepared to show me all the stuff I shouldn't do by proving to me. If no one had ever had a bash at these places we might not be enjoying them today, imagine the first bugger that ever swam his horse across a creek to get to the spots we drive to today, scary stuff.

Yeah kudos to the boys for admitting they do stupid things and that its all for the camera.
I just hope people see difference between what they do (adventure) and realise HOW they do it inst always the smartest way around.
Its a good show, but they do crazy things.
