The systems we use at work on our Toyota's (underground nickel mine) are useless. They rely on a good coat of paint to provide the rust protection(??) therefore if the paint is chipped off, the unit becomes useless. I would have thought that you need to grind some paint off the chassis, then attach the pads, so the anti corrosion could work, but after reading the instructions that is not the case. Saying that, the treatment these utes get is at the upper end of extreme, so they might work ok for everyday use. Not sure if I could justify the money to buy a unit.. IMO.

Got the electronic protection on my 10 year old Pajero. It was originally from the coast in WA and has rust in several places already from airborne salt I reckon. I have always used fishoilene and pulled my cars apart and sprayed it everywhere and I reckon it does a superior job. $10 worth of spray cans will do a whole car. I use a WD40 nozzle with the plastic tube and go over every seam I can get to as well as pulling all the interior panels off. Just make sure you clean the overspray off as you go
