Heading north of the howard springs bridge there. Going up for some land based lure flicking .. didnt make it

Learnt some big lessons that day.

Found this dude at Howard river way up in the fresh, by himself, no recovery gear.

He's not bogged very deep but it was raining earlier and that grass stopped his goodyear muddies quick-smart!

I know that spot quite well .. catches alot of people out there.

Also out Howards Springs way. Sneaking around a billabong looking for pigs and felt that nasty sinking feeling.

Just love it when the Nissan has to rescue another Toyota. My sister-in-law thought she could teach her husband (my brother-in-law) how to 4wd. Ha think she learnt something here too. They were out the back of Palmerston one night and didn't take any phones with them so Peter had to run back to a mates place to call me to come and rescue him. It was about 5 klms, lucky he likes running, oh and he forgot his shoes. They took all 5 kids with them that night too. Still give them stick about it now! :naughty:

, then made the mistake of trying to follow a qaud track. had to call two cruisers to get us out :bonk:

me and a mate got out of one but couldnt get out of this one ... really should buy a whinch one day

this photo was taken the next mornign after we spent the night walking the 20km back to the arnhem highway , hitchhing into mobile phone range and calling a mate to come get us out ... and as kevin kevinson will tell you i still played a staring role for his football team later on that day ... well a role at least

sh!t looking at that photo i feel even worse about leaving the wallaby jack at home that night ... could have popped it out in 10 seconds!
