4WD on the beach Sunday!

Hey guys want to take the family for a drive on a beach or something close to Darwin. Anywhere you can suggest?

Head out to the Gunn point beach mate - not been out there myself but Im told its very nice and is within 50 km of town
Work is what i do to pay for fishing!!

I like harneys beach on the cox peninsula. At least you can get some shade and have a fish. There are a couple of creeks over there that might be worth it on the tide change. Probably same distance

Cox Peninsula is good during week days, gets a bit hectic on weekends, same for Gunn Point. The Cox Peninsula westernmost creek is a ripper and you can drive straight up to it, although the sand is soft the last few hundred metres. The turn-offs are via numbered poles off the sealed road, they are in the FISH FINDER book. There's also a WWII bomber wreck out there worth a look.

Hey Hally10. We actually didn't have much luck. Caught two little trevallys between three of us and a couple of cods I think. It started to blow up a bit out there it turned to poop. We got slammed coming back in my mates boat. Will head out the Vernon's and Melville island soon. Also wouldn't mind doing a over nighter at the Fenton patches. It's all experience.
